We Are Back!

It was a long winter break and we were very excited to get back to learning Russian this week!!

Math

The color of the day was grey - we experimented with paint and not only we were able to get grey shades but quite a few other masterpieces. We practiced colors during that activity.

Another topic to recall was:><= which will will explore more by the end of January

Russian

No new letter although we did a few whiteboard activities to practice handwriting skills.

Reading time: С.Михалков «Котята»

Tip for Parents:  Practice “preventive medicine”One of the keys to minimizing difficulties on the bilingual journey is “preventive medicine.” In other words, our goal is to prevent larger difficulties from even arising at all by making effective efforts early enough . For example, by being proactive, and providing the child with strong exposure to the minority language during the first few formative years, active ability in the language can be fostered and the problem of activating passive ability later on is avoided. By thinking ahead, and taking appropriate action, the journey can proceed more smoothly, more successfully.
