Holidays Class
With the beautiful decorations everywhere outside and the white blanket of snow (while we have one) this is hard not to feel the holidays spirit. This week we held the last class for this year and we tried to make it festive, fun yet as always - educational:-)
Math
The color of the day was white. Together with practicing color patterns we did a few activities for counting (snowflakes), comparison of big and small as well as individual assignments for our older kids group.
Russian
We continue learning the letter Лл together with reading patterns of simple words. We did a few activities for recognition patters and of of the words we looked at was ЕЛКА! So we ended the class with a festive craftwork of building our own Christmas trees and decorating them!!
Parents Tip:
В Лесу Родилась Елочка
We were singing quite a bit as well as this was our song of the day! Someone started Jingle Bells and the kids quickly noticed this is not a Russian song, so everybody switched into our Elochka song again :-)
Sing old Russian songs with your little ones, read them about Ded Moroz and Snegurochka, start practicing easy short rhymes for our Elka party in January.
