Back to School!

As many kids all through the country and the globe quite a few of our little learners were back to school this week as well.

We started Math class with school stories. Kids were telling about their first days, their friends and teachers. We went further and put the images on paper. During this exercise we practices Russian vocabulary as well as simple math, as always (E.g. My school has 2 floors, we have 10 kids in the class, etc.)

We then jumped straight into the day activities. The color of the day was BLUE.

Russian

New letter today - Шш. We practiced writing, alphabet and Story Time. As of next week we will spend much more time on Reading practice as well as developing enriched writing skills.

Parents Tip

I hear a lot and many parents also ask if this is okay for the child to mix languages? The answer is No. We don't want this to become a habit for a child which, by the way, is easily developed. If you do that at home, the child hears that and will most likely do that too. So when you hear your little one saying "Mама, дай мне bread", gently correct by helping a child with the correct word "Ты хочешь хлеб?"
