Simple Math
Yep, this is what we do every week - simple math through games and fun. Our goal is to create an environment where children learn through games and specially crafted activities. This week's classes were not an exception.
Math
We spent most of the time discovering a new topic of mathematical "plus" and "minus" functions. That might sound easy for us, but is a whole new world for our 3-6 year olds. So we used a lot of handouts to show how it exactly works. We also remembered the shapes and colors through different puzzle games.
Russian
New letter (Xx) together with reading practice was the main focus of the Russian class this week. We used our favorite play dough as well as individual white boards to work on writing skills. Short dance-sessions were great to switch between the activities and helped to keep our little learners busy!!
Tip for the Parents: know for yourself first how well you want your child to speak Russian. Do you want them to speak and write? Do you want them to be able to communicate on certain topics? What is a plan? How and when do you want to do that?
Stay tuned as soon we will be introducing a simple Parents guide + templates! They will make it easier and put some good structure in raising your bilingual learner :-)
